Dear Mr. Morales:
Thank you very much for your request, and for your patience in awaiting our response. By this email the United States Mint is happy to permit you to post detail of the petroglyphs from the #36 dollar coin candidate and the complete reverse of the design for context as you have requested.
As you probably know, in addition to the dollar coin images our website contains intellectual property that is protected by copyright, trademark and other laws, and may require permission as you have sought in order to be used (for example, the name of the United States Mint is both a registered trademark and the subject of separate federal laws governing its use). Please feel free to contact our webmaster (the correct place to start) if you are interested in other uses of the dollar coin designs or other materials from our site.
We wish you best of luck in your academic endeavors.
Sincerely,
Gwen H. Mattleman
Attorney
